Ski Paoli Peaks

Paoli Peaks features a natural hill with 300 ft. vertical drop. Average grade: 10%-15% Terrain: 25% beginner, 55% intermediate, 10% advanced, 10% expert park 1 quad chair, 3 triple chairs, 1 beginner double chair, 3 surface tows.
Uphill capacity: 11,200 skiers per hour.Over 110 stationary towers & machines. High efficiency equipment pumps 6000 gallons of water per minute...or, 12 inches of machine made snow over the entire ski area in a 24 hour period at temperatures of 20 degrees F.

West Baden Springs Historical Dome

"The Dome has risen from the dead!"  That's the attitude of most people around the Springs Valley area which includes West Baden Springs and French Lick as well as the many people involved in the restoration of the "Eighth Wonder of the World".  The $32 million partial restoration of the historic hotel was completed in October 1998 by Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana and Cook Group, Inc. of Bloomington, Indiana.

Currently, Historic Landmarks is searching for a new owner before completing the restoration.  The West Baden Springs Hotel is open for tours, now through Jan, 5 2002, Mondays through Saturday (on the hour) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays Noon to 4 p.m..  Jan. 9, 2002 through March 31, 2002, tours will be Wednesday through Sunday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.  Group tours may be scheduled anytime by calling 1-800-450-4534.

The resort facility is only 7 miles away and includes 470 rooms and boasts two superb golf courses, the Valley Course and the scenic, Donald Ross designed, Country Club Hill Course.
